She's so precious. . .
Today, I saw a black mom in the laudramat beating her daughter named Precious. That's all I have to say about that one.
If I could do it all again, I wouldn't. I have no desire to re-learn or unlearn all that I already know. What I am due to learn is ahead of me and therefore no need griping over the fact that I don't know it yet. When you add that all together folks, I'm just saying that I am happy being me. Welcome to my blog. Here, I hope to impart thoughts that will stay with you after your read.

Why call out that the woman is black? Are you making fun of her choice of name for her daughter? Could you be making fun of the fact of she found a way to interject the word/name Precious while whipping her kid? What, Jaygee? What?

Both. I'm more calling out the irony. Lil' Precious had come up on hard times in the laundromat and her mother 'call the cops' beat her in front of everybody. But she kept calling the little girl's name. The fact that she was black added icing on the proverbial cake for me as a black person experiencing this malaise of disbelief.
